Missing man found in the woods

On May 27, 2020, at 7:22 p.m., Carlton County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a missing 73-year-old male. The male had been on the property at 2298 County Road 4 plotting for future tree planting on the property. The male failed to return as expected.

Carlton County deputies responded and with the assistance of the Carlton County Drone Team, U.S. Border Patrol K9, Carlton Fire Department and Ambulance and the St Louis County Rescue Squad, an extensive search of the property was conducted.

The male was located by searchers at 9:45 p.m. conscious and alert in a remote area of the property.

Due to the remote location the male was found in, it took some time and effort to get him out of the woods.

The male had minor injuries and was checked out by Carlton Ambulance personnel. The male was not transported to the hospital and returned home with family.
