Moose Lake Liquor sets up a tent for outdoor seating.

As the summer season brings beautiful weather to northern Minnesota, the food and beverage industry is able to take advantage of outdoor seating.

The Moose Lake Municipal Liquor Store set up picnic tables, garbage bins, and a large tent outside which blocks off half their parking lot. This will offer a temporary social gathering area for patrons.

Local coffee shop Joe Jitters has set up outdoor seating as well. Unfortunately, hours this week are still limited for take-out orders and beverages, but the owner hopes to expand those hours by next week. "We should be open 8 a.m.-2 p.m.," owner Molly Alberg said.

The inside antique and craft mall is available to walk-in shoppers, and Alberg is working hard at finding more outdoor seating, if possible.

Other local restaurants and establishments, like Doc's Sports Bar and Grill in Sturgeon Lake, are open for business with outdoor seating and take-out; reservations are necessary.
