Quarantine Poems

April 23, 2020

The theme was "Quarant-ween" (like Halloween).

Here is a poem from a 10th grader at Barnum High School about our current stay-at-home order and the COVID-19 situation in general. We hope you find some entertainment or enlightenment in it. More will be featured next week.

The Dinner

Locked up in the house

My family did stay

Yet we found things to do

Each and every day

Knowing our family

Didn't have a clue

Our brains began to think

"What should we do?"

Inspiration then struck

Right then and there

And suddenly I knew

Exactly what to wear

So there it began

On that fateful day

The Poirier's Themed Dinners

Were quite the display

We'd dress the occasion

From head to toe

While our themes ranged from Western

To Red Carpet Glow

Each night was different

The theme always anew

Our laughter contagious

Our outfits quite the view

So don't worry about us

The Poirier Family is fine

We are always together

And smile while we dine
