Lady Bombers fall to Lions

Dan Lingle

The Lady Bombers played their second game of the post season tournament against the Lions of Ogilvie on Saturday, February 29, after beating Braham on February 27 by a score of 74-69.

The Bombers jumped to a 7-0 lead early as Rayna Klejeski and Allison Marine put up some nice block shots against the Lions. The Lions however would soon find a rhythm and begin to score around Klejeski and Marine. The Bombers continued to attack the basket as Makenzee Schleret had several break away attempts but it seemed that the basket just wouldn't be kind to her as the ball would rim out. Many of the Bombers' shots would just not fall through the net. Meanwhile, the Lions' shots found their mark and soon they took a 25-10 run on the Bombers to give the Lions the lead going into halftime.

In the second half, the Bombers' troubles continued as they only managed to score 24 second half points while the Lions came away adding 43 second half points for the night. The Lions took the win 68-41 and will advance to the next round where they will face the Onamia Panthers.
