The Sonshine Closet in Moose Lake, located on Folz Blvd, will be celebrating their grand reopening over the week of March 10-14, presenting their new logo and store perks.

"During the week of our grand opening, we're going to have toy giveaways, various drawings throughout the week, and just some fun prizes with our new logo on them," said manager Vanessa Smude.

Sonshine Closet sells used clothing and household items. Everything at Sonshine is donated, it's run by volunteers, and profits (apart from those used to cover overhead costs) are put back into the community. They offer scholarships during the summer, financial assistance for utilities and emergencies, as well as grants for various local churches and schools.

"We will be starting a stamp card or punch card," said Smude. "Every $5 will get a stamp and once you fill the card, it's $5 store credit."

The store will also start introducing monthly sales (February was "I love to read month" focusing on books) and possibly double stamp days.

"Everybody here are just the hands and feet of Jesus trying to reach out to the community and help them," said Smude. "It's just kind of an amazing thing to have in this little town."
