Our Willow River fifth graders, teachers, and chaperones celebrate three days of Wolf Ridge memories.

Cold temps and piles of snow were no match for Willow River Area School's fifth graders who bundled up and met each challenge during three cold days at the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland. Students, teachers, and chaperones learned about winter survival, snowshoeing, rock climbing, and ice fishing. The biggest obstacle is always the ropes course, but most students gave it a try to make it to the zip line.

Willow River and the fifth grade students thank the community sponsors who helped make this happen: Willow River Commercial Club, Sturgeon Lake Lion's Club, American Legion, and the Northern Pine Riders. This support helps make this event possible year after year for our students.

One of the best parts of Wolf Ridge is the challenge to scale the rock wall and kiss the stuffed goat at the top.
