Family Pathways Domestic Violence Program now available in Carlton County

December 12, 2019

Imagine feeling desperate to tell someone about the abuse you and your child are suffering at home but feel like you’ll be judged…or worse…not believed. You have no idea what help is available to you, and frankly, are scared to move forward alone.

Far too many of our neighbors across East Central MN and Western WI experience exactly this. Fortunately, Family Pathways is there to stand by the side of people in crisis who don’t have a circle of support to help them adequately – and we’re proud to announce that Family Pathways can stand alongside the residents of Carlton County now too.

The Office of Justice Programs awarded Family Pathways a contract to provide domestic violence and sexual assault services in Carlton, Kanabec and Pine Counties. These services include victim advocacy, education, outreach and a crisis line, as well as parenting time centers for supervised visitation. Family Pathways is also a current funding recipient for similar services in Chisago and Isanti Counties. The new Carlton and Pine County domestic violence, sexual assault (and Supervised Visitation in Carlton) program offices are located at:

Family Pathways was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 1978 as a grassroots community agency in Chisago County providing counseling services to youth and families. Today, Family Pathways is the largest human services organization in East Central MN and Western WI, serving 20,000 residents - nearly 9% of the region’s population. The mission of Family Pathways is to work alongside people to enhance lives through a continuum of essential services and – together with community – champion positive social change. At Family Pathways people with limited (or non-existent) supports who are in crisis attain greater health, safety and stability; contributing to the overall vitality of a significantly large geographic region in Minnesota.
