Hi friends!

In typical Minnesota fashion, the pretty fall leaves and crisp air quickly turned snowy and freezing. We might as well make the most of it, because I think it’s here to stay a while. Feel free to check out our new books, DVDs, and audiobooks for your cozy afternoons indoors. Need to get a homework assignment done for school, but not much for internet at home? We do have a couple of hotspots for check out on a first come, first serve basis! (Please note it’s a $20 deposit, but you do get it back upon return. You also need to bring a parent or guardian to check it out with you if you are under 18 years old). Or, if you want to come into the library anyway, feel free to use one of our computers (one is brand new--we’re working on updating our technology). We also have some fun events coming up!

Dean Hovey will be holding a book signing at the library on Monday November 25 at 4 p.m. Dean has two new books coming out: Washed Away and Dead in the Water. Come listen to this local author chat about his new books and maybe get a copy of your own!

November Movie at the Library is going to be The Grinch (2018). The movie is rated PG for some brief rude humor. The movie will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27. Feel free to bring blankets to get cozy!

On Monday, December 2, the library will host harpist Christina Cotruvo for her music program Good Vibrations for Winter Wellness at 3:30 p.m. She will be playing a variety of music and discussing how it relates to wellness, which is especially important this time of the year with some experiencing the winter blues. This free hour-long program is geared toward teens or young adults, but all are welcome. This program is funded in part or in whole by the Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

If you want to know more about the goings-on at the library or see some new materials in the library before anyone else does, please check out our Facebook and Instagram pages.
