Mercy offers low-cost 3-D mammography screening

October 31, 2019

Mercy Hospital will once again participate in the American Cancer Society’s Screening Program to offer low-cost mammography to women who are underinsured or do not meet the guidelines for free mammograms.

During October, November and December, 3-D mammograms will be offered at a cost of $100 to women whose insurance may be inadequate or to those with high unmet deductibles. The fee must be paid at the time of the exam. Patients should be 40 or older, asymptomatic and have no history of breast cancer.

“Mammography is an important screening tool for breast cancer,” said Anna Koski, Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor. “We are participating in this program because we want women to have every opportunity to include this important screening tool as part of a healthy lifestyle.”

Evening mammography appointments are also available, making it convenient for women to schedule an appointment. Please call for available dates.

To make a mammography appointment, call Mercy at 218-485-5578.
