Carlton County Senior Health Fair on November 2

 

October 24, 2019



The annual Carlton County Senior Health Fair will provide education, screenings, visits with helpful vendors and a free lunch on Saturday, November 2 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Esko. The free program for 50 plus age adults will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Free screenings that will be provided are:

Medication reviews

Female Heel Bone Density

Balance Assessment

Blood Pressure

Foot Checks

Wound Care Questions Answered

A glucose and cholesterol screening will be provided, and fasting in the morning is recommended. There is a suggested $10 donation for this screening which will go to the UMD School of Pharmacy.

Flu shots will be provided by Carlton County Public Health Nurses.

Carlton County Sheriff Kelly Lake will be featured in workshops on Senior Scams.

There will be many helpful vendors available for questions on their programs and services.

The workshops will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and the free lunch will start at 11:30 a.m.

The Carlton County Senior Health Fair is sponsored by St. Matthews Lutheran Church Health Committee and The Senior Reporter magazine. Screenings are provided by UMD School of Pharmacy Students, Kindred at Home, Community Memorial Hospital, and County Public Health Nurses.
