The Barnum Bombers faced a tough Dragons volleyball team when they headed to Pine City on October 14.

The first set saw the Bombers and Dragons fighting hard to beat one another in a back and forth battle as both teams played strong. The Bombers were poised to take the victory, but the Dragons had a late set scoring rally and slid past the Bombers to take the first set 25-23.

The second set was again a back and forth battle as neither team gave an inch. With 4 ace serves from Olivia Bogenholm, 2 aces from Reese Miletich, along with some nice kills by the Bombers' hitters and digs by the back row, the Bombers squeaked out the victory in the second set 27-25.

The third set belonged to the Bombers. Brooke Doran had a strong run setting to her hitters allowing the Bombers to kill 13 times, 6 of which would come from Miletich with some kills coming with such power that I wouldn't want to be on the receiving side of it. The Bombers came away with the victory 25-18.

In the fourth set however, the Bombers slipped backwards a little, making only 5 kills and 19 digs times against a powerful Dragon hitting attack. The Bombers fell behind early. Despite fighting to come back, in the end they ran out of time as the Dragons took the victory 25-22.

This set up a fifth and final tie breaking set to see who would be the victor for the night. The Dragons won the coin flip and took the first serve. They took the lead and the Bombers were forced to play catchup. However, the Bombers were not be able to overcome the deficit, and the Dragons won the final set 15-11.

Reese Miletich led the Bombers with 19 kills, 3 blocks, 1 assist, 20 digs, and 1 ace serve; Kendal Miletich had 9 kills, 18 digs, and 2 ace serves; Olivia Bogenholm had 7 kills, 17 digs, and 10 ace serves; Lacie O'Leary had 6 kills, 1 block, 21 digs, and 2 ace serves; Alina Lekander had 2 kills and 23 digs; Brooke Doran had 40 assists, 15 digs, and 1 ace serve; and Danna Weets had 7 digs.
