On September 10, the Barnum Bombers hosted the Panthers of South Ridge for a night of volleyball.

In the first set, the Panthers came out strong returning nearly every hit sent their way by the Bombers. The Bombers responded in kind with some nice volleys during the set but in the end the Panthers out scored the Bombers 18-25.

In the second set, the Bombers struggled against the Panthers' asault. They tried to keep up with 13 kills on the Panthers but the Panther's defense proved to be too much for the Bombers as the Panthers would win 16-25.

Both teams were determined to win as the third set proved to be evenly matched as neither team appeared to jump out to a large lead. The teams would both put together some nice volleys to keep their hopes alive for the victory but in the end the Panthers prevailed over the Bombers 21-25, giving the Panthers the victory over the Bombers, and the first loss of the season for the Bombers.

Reese Miletich led the Bombers with 13 kills, 2 blocks, and 18 digs; Lacey O'Leary with 5 kills, 1 block, 11 digs, 7 assists, and 3 ace serves; Olivia Bogenholm with 3 kills and 1 dig; Kendal Miletich with 3 kills, 4 digs, and an ace; Alina Lekander with 2 kills and 9 digs; Brooke Doran with 19 assists and 4 digs; and Danna Weets with 1 dig and 1 assist.
