Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event to be held in Willow River

On Saturday August 17, 2019 from 9 a.m.—2 p.m., the Pine County Solid Waste Department will be holding a household hazardous collection event at the Pine County Highway Garage, 8165 Hwy. 61, Willow River. Please note this event is taking place at the County Highway Garage and not the North Pine Transfer Station. Disposal will be free to Pine County residents. Business and out-of-county waste will not be accepted.

Types of household hazardous wastes accepted include: paint (oil and latex), used motor oil, acids and bases, pesticides, automotive products (no motor oil), photo and hobby chemicals, adhesives, wood preservatives, cleaning solvents, rechargeable batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, and painting supplies.

Types of wastes that will not be accepted include: explosives, compressed gas, tires, appliances, vehicle batteries, sharps, and pharmaceuticals.
