Dedication at Lakeside Cemetery

A dedication ceremony will be held at the Lakeside Cemetery on Saturday, July 20, at 2:00 pm, to honor early pioneers Isaak and Maria Walli. They made a generous donation of land in 1906 to the Lakeside Community to serve as a final resting place for the pioneers, settlers, family and friends of the surrounding communities.

Isaak Walli perished in the 1918 fire and rests, along with many others, at the memorial mass grave site in Moose Lake.

Lakeside Cemetery is located on Finn Road 2 miles south of Hwy 210 between Wright and Tamarack. A memorial plaque will be dedicated with a brief program and history of the cemetery to follow.

Coffee and bars will be served immediately after at the Lakeside Clubhouse, just down the road from the cemetery. Accordion music will be provided by Steve Solkela from Aurora, MN.
