Rebels win Osseo championship

Moose Lake Willow River seventh grade boys' basketball team won the championship trophies on Saturday, June 15, in the Osseo Senior High School Gymnasium. The Rebels played MN Heat 7 Bengston defeating them 64 to 19.

In their second game, they were trailing by 10 to 14 points most of the game. Near the end of the game, they got an extra offensive spark and took the lead by two. The MN Heat 7 Schultz had to foul the Rebels to try to get the ball back. This young Rebel team knows how to finish and come together to play team basketball especially at the end of a close game. The Rebels won 46-41. The Heat 7 Schultz team earlier had a big win over the Rebels' next opponent, Eastview Lightning.

MLWR took charge of their third game right from the jump ball and never trailed, winning 57-42 and the championship.
