Community traditions are being made with this year's 2nd Annual Carlton County Community Bike Ride. This is a free event, taking place on June 9th, 2019 and begins at 11 AM at any of the four rest stops on the Munger Trail: the DNR pavilion in Carlton, TJ's Country Corner in Mahtowa, the Munger Trail parking lot in Barnum and the Historic Train Depot in Moose Lake. There will be treats, food, activities for all ages, entertainment and most importantly, water, at all four stops.

The Community Bike Ride is geared towards inspiring physical fitness and wellness while showcasing the County's 27 mile section of the beautiful Munger Trail. The ride also encourages community and family togetherness by being open and accessible to bikers of all ages. Not a biker? No problem! Come to any of the rest stops and enjoy the beautiful Munger trail with food, activities and camaraderie.

This year we will have a special treat for all the riders as TWO different Homegrown bands will be performing at different spots along the trail. The Langerstons, will be performing in Mahtowa at TJ's Country Corner, and Port City Limit will be playing at the Moose Lake Depot. Water and granola bars will be provided to all participants at each rest stop. Yevette Maijala and The Magnolia Café will be serving food and beverages at the DNR pavilion while, as always, TJ's Country Corner will be serving their famous brats.

The 2nd Annual Carlton County Community Bike Ride is put on by Carlton County and the Carlton County United Way. Visit our Facebook page to stay updated on any new additions to the event.
