Moose Lake Public Library Corner

From the Desk of the Library Director

The Moose Lake Public Library is bringing new programming to the community, one fun activity at a time. We at the library love that you enjoy coming in to check out materials, but we’d love to make sure you know about what else we have to offer. As always, we also love to hear suggestions.

On Tuesday May 7th, the library board is hosting an exploratory, informational meeting at 4 pm for those interested in being a part of a Friends of the Library group. Looking for a way to volunteer your time to the community and have fun doing it? This might be your scene.

On Thursday May 9th, the library is hosting a “Gardening with Perennials” how-to presentation and discussion, led by master gardener Chris Carlson at 3:30 pm. Nothing says spring like a little gardening!

On Friday May 17th, join us and Faith Clover as we do some hands-on projects with Scandinavian wirework. This is an art class you don’t have to be Bob Ross to succeed at.

On Monday May 20th, four area authors will be getting together at the library to talk about their experiences with the writing process and their published works. This is an event for both readers and writers to hear about what writing really takes.

Coming soon, the library is also hoping to start a movie of the month! Dates to be determined.

The summer reading program, our book sale, and other events are also coming up in the next few months. If you have ideas or want to know more, please check out our Facebook and Instagram pages. We can’t wait to see you at some upcoming events!
