A man was arrested last Thursday, January 28th, at the Days Inn in Moose Lake on drug and theft charges.

Leroy Bradley has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, and giving a false name to a peace officer. He appeared on the charges in Carlton County Court on January 30 and bail was set at $7,500. He is currently being held at the Carlton County Jail.

According to the criminal complaint, officers responded to the Days Inn after receiving a report of a male walking in and out of the hotel, acting odd and not making sense.

Upon arrival, law enforcement located the man next to a vehicle described by the reporting party as the one the male was driving. The vehicle was later discovered to be stolen.

While attempting to identify him, Bradley kept providing different names and dates of birth which were not in the system. A search of his person located a small baggy of a crystal-like substance which later tested positive for methamphetamine.

Bradley has numerous felony convictions from several counties, including theft in 2014, fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, and second degree burglary in 2018.
