Lumberjacks chop the Bombers

The Lady Bombers would host the Lumberjacks of Cloquet on a chilly winter evening on the 28th of January. The Bombers would start out strong but would eventually fall 66-51. The Bombers jumped out early as Mallory Agurkis landed 3-3 pointers for 9 firsthalf points, with Kendal Miletich landing a pair of long bombs with a shot in the paint for 8 first-half points. Reese Miletich would also drive into the basket for 6 points, while Alli Marine would struggle to find room to score under the basket for 5 first-half points. The Lumberjacks would start out slow but would soon climb to within 3 points by halftime. Lumberjacks' Maddie Young would lead the first-half attack with 8 points followed by Kate Owens and Allie Wojtysiak both with 6 first-half points. Kendra Kelley would land the only Lumberjacks' 3-pointer of the first-half for 3 points, while Olivia Diver would find room to score 2 points in the first-half. The Lumberjhacks would trail the Bombers 28-25 going into halftime.

The second half belonged to the Lumberjacks as Allie Wojtysiak added 15 second-half points to give herself 21 game points. Kendra Kelley of the Lumberjacks added 14 second-half points for 17 game points for the night. Maddie Young would find room to score 4 second-half points for 12 game points. Alexa Snesrud put up 4 second-half points for 4 game points, while Olivia Diver would add 2 second-half points for 4 game points. Finally. Jessica Liang would score 2 second-half points for 2 game points. Kate Owens would end the night with 6 game points giving the Lumberjacks 66 points for the night.

The Bombers' Agurkis would land another 3-3 pointer for 18 game points. Kendal Miletich would land a pair of 3's and find herself on the free throw line to land 1of 2 free throws for a game total of 15 points. Alli Marine would be the only other Bomber to score in the second half with 7 second-half points giving her 12 game points. Reese Miletich would be scoreless in the second half but would end the night with 6 points for a Bombers' team score of 51.
