Lady Rebels Hockey drop two

The Lady Rebels would host the Golden Bears of Eveleth-Gilbert on the 22nd of January, falling 3-2. The Golden Bears would strike first with a goal from Autumn Gregorich with the assist from Bekah Davidson at the 15:32 time mark in the first period. The Rebels' Meadow Pruettewould answer back 9 minutes later with a goal of her own with the assists coming from Ellie Anderson and Lauren Hall, at 6:31 in the first period. The Golden Bears' Kylie Baranzelli would score at 15:58 of the third period with the assist coming from Anna Seitz giving the Golden Bears the lead. 8:01 of the third period would see Kylie Baranzelli scoring her second goal of the evening with the assist coming from Anneka Lundgren and Anna Seitz. The Rebels however would not be finished as Lexi Bonneville would find the net at the 7:14 mark in the third period with the assist coming from Abby Painovich. Rebels' Jo Wekseth would stand her ground in the net as goalie with 27 saves for the night while the Golden Bears Rachel Woods would save 25 shots on goal.


Next the Rebels would take on the Broncos of International Falls fighting hard but falling 1-0 in overtime. The loan goal for the night would come in overtime as both teams would play hard and not find a way to score. Jo Wekseth would put up a strong wall as she would stop 19 shots on goal while her counterpart from the Broncos would also be a strong force stopping 21 shots on goal. the only goal scored for the night would come at the 7:44 mark in overtime by the Broncos Maria Vollum with the assist by Morgan Rasmussen.
