Willow River placed second at the one act play sub-sections in Aitkin last Saturday with their original play "The Other Place." The cast gave a memorable and touching performance that secured them a spot in the section finals which will occur at Hibbing Community College this Saturday, February 2, tentatively scheduled for 9am. The first place prize went to Aitkin for "The Chronicles of Jane Book Seven." Other performances included "The Amazing Majesto" by Barnum, "The Internet is a Distract-OH LOOK A KITTEN" by Moose Lake, "The Beauty of Letting Go" by Deer River, and "Oh, What a Tangled Web" by Hill City.

Willow River will have a public performance of their play this Friday at 6pm in the Willow River School Auditorium.

All participants did an excellent job representing their respective schools. The state finals will occur on February 7-8 at St. Catherine University in St. Paul.
