Lady Bombers crawl over Bulldogs

Jordyn Marine drives around the defense to score 2 points.

The Lady Bombers basketball team would take down the Carlton Bulldogs, 60-51 on Thursday the 17th of January. The Bombers would start out fast and strong as Mallory Agurkis would knock down three shots from beyond the arc, while Jordyn Marine and Alli Marine would find room below the basket to score. Lacie O'Leary and Danna Weets would both drive into the basket resulting in shots from the free throw line. Carlton's Kaylee Mickle would answer Agurkis with 3 of her own three pointers, while Alena Wallin would find her way to the free throw line to drop one of two shots. Abby Mickle would put up 6 first half points from both the paint and the free throw line. Alaina Bennett would find the range from multiple locations on the floor as she would hit a 3-pointer, shot from the paint and 5 points from the line. The Bombers would take a 33-26 lead into halftime.

The second half would find the Bombers Jordyn Marine and Reese Miletich both putting up 8 points each, while Alli Marine would add in 4 second half points. Makenzee Schleret would land the long bomb from beyond the arc for 3 points. Lacie O'Leary and Mallory Agurkis would both add in 2 second half points giving the Bombers 60 points on the night. The Bulldogs Kaylee Asleson would continue to attack from the long range dropping in another 3 (3-pointers) and a shot from in the paint for 11 second half points, giving her 20 points on the night. Abby Mickle would continue to drive into the basket to score or land on the free throw line to score, she would end the second half with 9 points, giving her 15 points for the night. Brynne Mickle would drive into the basket scoring and landing on the free throw line to make it a 3 point play, she would end the night with 3 points. Alaina Bennett would only find room to score once in the second half giving her 12 game points for the Bulldogs. Alena Wallin would end the night with 1 firsthalf point, giving the Bulldogs 51 points.

Bombers Jordyn Marine would end the night with 22 points, followed by Mallory Agurkis with 12 points. Alli Marine would score 10 points followed by Reese Miletich with 8 points. Lacie O'Leary would end the night with 4 points followed by Makenzee Schleret with 3 points and Danna Weets dropping 1 free-throw. Bombers would struggle from the line going 4 for 10 for 40% from the free throw line. the Bulldogs would fare better going 12 of 18 for 67% from the line.
