The Storm would not go down without a fight, as the Rebels went down a player late in the period when Ellie Anderson would go to the penalty box for a check on the Storm. The Storm would then pull their goalie giving them a six on four advantage, but the advantage would not last long as the Storm would be called for the high stick, bringing the puck to the Storm's end of the ice forcing them to bring their goalie back in and sending a player to the penalty box evening the match up.

The Rebels held their ground for the win; Moose Lake Area 6, North Shore 5. The Storm would attack with 32 shots on goal with Rebels Jo Wekseth making 27 saves. The Rebels would have 21 shots on goal with the Storm's Lilka Mojkowski making 15 saves. Both teams were sent to the penalty box seven times each.
