The Barnum Bombers football hosted the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars on the gridiron Friday, September 28, Parents' Night for the Bombers. The home team kicked off the ball to begin the night, the Jaguars starting with decent field position. That would be as good as it would get for their first possession as the Bomber defense would stop them in their tracks. The Jaguars would have to punt the ball away. Tyler Nynas handed the ball off to Reed Kornovich on the Bombers' first possession, and he would take the ball to the endzone on the first play of the Bombers' night. The successful two point conversion gave the Bombers the 8-0 lead. The Jaguars found it difficult to move the ball against the Bomber. With a 22-0 lead, the teams went into halftime. The Bombers scored again with 9:04 left in the third quarter, giving the Bombers a 28-0 lead. Finally, the Jags found room to move and scored with 3:37 left in the third quarter; 28-6 in favor of the Bombers. They scored once again with 8:57 left in the game, bringing the score to 28-12. The Bombers would then take control and hold the Jaguars from scoring anymore points. The night ended with the Bombers taking the 28-12 victory over the Jaguars.
