Pushing Chain comes to Moose Lake

October 4, 2018

Pushing Chain is Boyd Blomberg on guitar and vocals and Adam Moe on fiddle and vocals. They have been playing together for 20 years, almost seven as Pushing Chain, and Sorrows Always Swim is their third album together. It is their second recording featuring all original material. Both Boyd and Adam call Northern Minnesota home. Boyd lives in a small cabin in Lutsen on the shores of Lake Superior, and Adam resides in Duluth, about 90 miles away on the shore of the same lake.

Pushing Chain usually travels as a duo, playing original roots and Americana music that features tight harmonies and a gonzo approach which keeps performances fresh and exciting, even if you've seen them before. Pushing Chain believes in strong harmonies, kazoos and laughter, sad songs, that there are still important songs to be written, and that a good band will make strangers share a table.

Come enjoy this free show in the relaxing atmosphere of Joe Jitters Coffeehouse. Joe Jitters has graciously agreed to stay open late for this program and will have food and beverages available to purchase while you enjoy this fun, free show. Pushing Chain has been in Moose Lake before and has played to large enthusiastic crowds. We hope you can come and enjoy the free program on Thursday, October 11, at 6 p.m. at Joe Jitters Coffeehouse, 308 Elm Ave in Moose Lake (across the street from the library).
