The Barnum Bombers volleyball team was on the road again September 4, making the drive to South Ridge to take on the Panthers.

The Panthers started out the night with relative ease, jumping out to the early lead in set one with some great serving and heads-up playing. The Bombers would try to find a way to get back into the set but fell short, dropping the first set 25-13. In the second set, the Bombers struggled again as the Panthers found room once more to place the ball just past the Bombers. The Bombers dropped the second set to the Panthers 25-14.

Not wanting to let the night end so easily, the Bombers found a way to come together in the third set to put a win in their favor, and took the third set 17-25.

The night continued into four sets. Taking on an early lead, the Bombers came out swinging. Soon, though, they would find themselves fighting to keep in the game. The Panthers took the lead from the Bombers and forced them to play catch up. The Bombers would put together a rally but ultimately came up just a little short, falling to the Panthers 25-23 in the fourth set.
