Ann Haugen, Trish Rodysill and Heidi Anderson are embarking on their next adventure: retirement!

As the year has come to an end at Moose Lake Community School, we are sad to see three of our finest elementary teachers retiring. Trish Rodysill, Ann Haugen and Heidi Anderson have almost 100 years of experience between them. These teachers have led by example and have created endless memories for students for generations and truly taught students what excellence for life means.

Trish Rodysill may be a petite woman, but her spirit is just the opposite. Trish has been at Moose Lake Community School for 41 years. That's right, 41 years. Her passion and dedication to learning and creating a fun environment is exceptional. The care Trish put into her work is truly exemplary. Trish spearheaded the, now annual, fifth grade class trip to the Laurentian Environmental Center. Creating a lifetime memory for students for generations to come.

Heidi Anderson has 34 years of experience throughout our entire elementary. Heidi has had experience at nearly every grade level as well as Title One. Her years of experience helped her grow into a gentle, kind and compassionate teacher students enjoyed learning from. Her fun, loving attitude will be missed by many.

Ann Haugen had a true passion to make physical education fun for her students. It was evident anytime you stepped into her class. Ann was a school leader in implementing a biking unit in our physical education department. Ann worked closely with Safe Routes to School and Carlton County to give our students unique physical education experiences. She also led our school in our annual Walk/Bike to School days. Ann herself led by example by biking to work nearly every day! She also helped organize numerous Track and Field days for our elementary students.

While everyone at Moose Lake Community School is sad to see these established teachers leave, we are excited for what their futures hold. These wonderful teachers have left lasting impressions on the hearts of their coworkers and students. Everyone at Moose Lake Community School is proud to wish these three amazing teachers a happy retirement!
