The Barnum Lady Bombers found new life as they headed to McGregor to take on the Mercs. The Bombers played on the hardwood of McGregor January 11, where the Bombers would run with the game.

Bomber Emily Miletich started the night off heading to the free-throw line to shoot a pair as she was fouled almost immediately. From that point, the Bombers did not look back. The Bombers headed into halftime with a 34-24 point lead.

The second half had the Mercs making up a little ground, but falling short, as Bombers Mallory Agurkis and Liz Carlson combined to land 10 three-pointers. Emily Miletich finished the game with 19 points, while Agurkis finished with 18 points, all from beyond the arc. Carlson ended the night with 15 points. Jordyn Marine and Kaitlyn Skutevik both added in eight points, while Alina Skutevik added a pair of points from the free-throw line. Makenzie Schleret and Kendal Miletich both went to the line and dropped one of two free-throws to give the Bombers the 72-64 point victory.

Barnum takes on Pillager

The Bombers next headed to Pillager to take on the Huskies on a Saturday game, January 13.

The Bombers found this to be a little more of a battle as the Huskies were ready for a fight. The Bombers held a small lead going into halftime, 27-26.

The second half continued to be a battle as the Bombers got into foul trouble with many playing with four fouls. The Bombers, however, pulled it out in the end as they walked away with the 46-43 victory.

Mallory Agurkis and Emily Miletich shared the points lead with 13 apiece. Liz Carlson and Kaitlyn Skutevik added five points each. Kendal Miletich and Makenzie Schleret both added three points, while Jordyn Marine went to the free-throw line for one point. The Bombers walked away with a 46-43 victory.
