The Barnum Lady Bombers volleyball team post season began hosting the Lions of Lakeview Christian Academy October 23.

The first set saw the Bombers jumping out to the early lead as they found open holes in the Lions' defense, along with nine service aces.

The second set found the Bombers struggling a little as the Lions were able to play point for point with the Bombers. Several errors on the Bombers side allowed the Lions to keep within striking distance. The Bombers ended the set defeating the Lions in a close 25-22 match.

The third set had the Bombers again dominating the Lions with six kills and seven service aces. The Bombers had little difficulty defeating the Lions.

Bomber Emily Miletich led the team with five kills, 10 digs and one assist. Megan Laine added four kills, two blocks and nine digs; Mallory Agurkis had three kills and six digs; Alexis Bonneville added two kills and five digs; Lea Peterson added one kill, 17 digs, seven assists and five ace serves; Izabell Carlson added five ace serves and 10 digs; Sydney Baier added four ace serves and six digs; Meghan Liimatainen added three ace serves, six digs and four assists; Esther Vogt added two ace serves and one dig.

The Bombers advanced to the second round of sections heading to Cook County to take on the second ranked Vikings October 25.

The Bombers struggle as the Vikings offense and defense proved to be too much for the Bombers to handle. The Bombers' post season ended with the three sets to none loss to the Vikings.
