An Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony in which Darby Hollis of Moose Lake received his Eagle Scout rank and award was held Thursday, August 10. For his project to earn the rank of Eagle Scout, he installed four memorial grills in the Moose Lake City Park and one in Roy Peterson Memorial Park. The installation of the grills was something he decided to do in honor of his grandfather, Frank Chambers, after his passing. The teachers at Moose Lake Community School also sponsored a grill for Mrs. Ruhland. He also installed two mini libraries, one behind Art's Cafe in memory of Jack Halverson and one in Moose Lake City Park. In order for a Boy Scout to earn the rank of Eagle Scout, he must earn six earlier ranks, complete at least 21 merit badges, with 13 of them required to make Eagle Scout. The project must benefit a public, non-profit organization.
