After 5 hour search, missing child found

On April 14, the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing child near the 1700 block of South Finn Road in Lakeview Township. The caller reported a missing 6-year-old child that was last seen around 2:30 p.m. near a wood line on the family's property.
After an extensive five hour search, the child was located in the wooded area in good health. A community volunteer located the child northwest of the area the child was last seen. The child was reunited with family and was not in need of medical attention.
The following agencies responded and assisted the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office with the search for the child: Cromwell Fire Department, Wright Fire Department, Lifelink, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Aitkin County Sheriff’s Posse, Carlton County Posse, St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Department of Natural Resources Enforcement Division, Cloquet Police Department, Fond du Lac Tribal Police Department and numerous community volunteers.
