Barnum Bomber Meghan Liimantainen sets up her teammates for the kill.

The Barnum Lady Bombers volleyball team hosted the Polar Bears of Floodwood on Thursday, October 6.

The Bombers came out with a strong game plan and implemented it in one of the best games they've played all year. Emily Miletich hammered the ball for several kills on the night, while Aleah Orlowski, Lea Peterson, Jamie Bird and Jessica Bird all did a great job with digging and ball returns. Meghan Liimatinen did an excellent job placing sets where her teammates could go for the kill. Megan Laine and Miletich would stood their ground at the net doing their best to block the Polar Bears' attempts at the kill. Miletich struggled some with staying off the net, but was able to compensate and soon became a presence in the faces of the Polar Bears.

The Bombers fell behind several times during the game and had to fight to come back, but with the help of their fan support they soon found themselves in the lead.

The Bombers took the first set 25-20.

The second set the Bombers had to fight harder as the Polar Bears had the lead and were on the brink of taking the set. The Bombers rallied and came from behind to take the victory 26-24.

The third set had the Bombers again coming from behind, but in the end they were victorious, winning the third set 25-20.

The Bombers worked well as a team and were able to walk away from the night with the win.
