Bombers take third in sections

The Barnum Bombers boys baseball team takes third in Section 5A.

The Barnum Bombers boys baseball team had a good start to the season, but soon struggled to stay afloat. As the season progressed, the boys came together and they really began to play as a team.

As the tournaments began the boys were set to make a strong run for a title. They made it all the way to the semifinals in Section 5A.

The Bombers were led by a strong pitching team consisting of Chris Carlson, Hunter Lake and Kameron Romanoski, followed by a strong infield and an even better outfield.

The only problem for the team was they seemed to always have one error prone inning. If they kept the errors to a minimum they walked away with the win.

In their first meeting with the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars, the Section 5A winners, they hit shot for shot until a dreaded error-filled inning. The Jaguars capitalized and took control of the game.

During the semifinals of the Section 5A tournament the Bombers kept the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves in check until yet another error-filled inning hit and the Wolves scored their winning runs.

The Bombers had opportunities to keep pace with the Wolves but in the end they came up short, falling 4-0, to take third in sections.
