Barnum Bombers crush Esko Eskomos

Barnum Bomber Reese Parks puts the layup in over the top of 7-foot, 2-inch Esko Eskomo Adam Trapp and another defender in the December 18 game in Esko.

The Barnum Bombers boys basketball team headed to Esko December 18 to take on the Eskomos in a repeat of last year's Section 7AA final game. The Bombers and Eskomos have had a long-standing rivalry and this game was no different.

The battle was a tough one as the Bombers passed the ball around and played a patient game looking for the best possible shot.

Bomber Drake Weets found his range early as he dropped nice shots for the Bombers. The first half ended with very low scoring, 14-8 in favor of the Bombers.

In the second half the battle continued as the Bombers passed the ball looking for good shots. The Bombers kept the Eskomos' 7-foot, 2-inch Adam Trapp in check as they did a nice job preventing him from getting the ball.

The Bombers ended the night with a quartet of shooters landing 10 points with the remaining Bomber scoring five. Bombers Mason Agurkis, Weets, Chris Carlson and Reese Parks all scored 10 points, while Hunter Fetters scored five points.

The Bombers did well from the free-throw line as they landed nearly every attempt.

The Bombers walked away from the Eskomos court with a 45-36 victory.
