The Barnum Bombers girls basketball team played host to the Eskomos of Esko for an epic battle of rivals.

The Bombers started on top, but soon fell behind and found it difficult to catch the Eskomos.

The Eskomos brought a quartet of scorers - Mackenzie Holland, eight points; Selena Shady, 10 points; Ava Gonsorowski, nine points; and Bridget Yellin, six points.

The Bombers struggled as Bailey Wheeler had three points; Mallory Agurkis, five points; and Emily Miletich, 15 points. They were the only members to score.

The Bombers went into halftime trailing 36-23.

The second half had the Bombers changing their game plan, coming out scoring better, but they still fell to the Eskomos.

Bomber Miletich added in 21 second half points, while Agurkis tallied up six points and Wheeler add two points. Bomber Kaitlyn Skutevik came off the bench for two points. The 31 second-half points for the Bombers was not enough to catch the Eskomos as they had 36 second-half points, in which 10 were from the free throw line.

Esko's Gonsorowski was the high scorer with 25 points, followed by Yellin with 18 points, Shady with 16 points, Holland with eight, and Mandi Dineau with five points.

The Eskomos landed 20 of 24 points from the free throw line.

The Bombers were led by Miletich with 36 points, followed by Agurkis with 11 points, Wheeler with five points and Skutevik with two points. Miletich went 12 of 13 from the free throw line.

The Bombers fell to the Eskomos 72-54.
