We Scare Hunger

As a reward to the Willow River students in the classes that collected the most food, Ms. Emert received a one-of-a-kind haircut (hair was then donated).

Moose Lake and Willow River schools participate in the We Scare Hunger food drive held during the Halloween holiday. The Willow River We Act group collected 1,528 items plus $45 in cash to be equally distributed between the Moose Lake Area Food Shelf and the Sandstone Family Pathways Food Bank. The Moose Lake National Honor Society (NHS) collected more than 1,500 pounds of food. We Scare Hunger is a community project students do as part of their WeDay commitment.

Moose Lake NHS members Max Kenney, Frankie White, Isaac Riihilouma, Wyatt Lampel and Sam Coil deliver food to the Moose Mart (Moose Lake Area Food Shelf).
