The Moose Lake Area Blizzards took the field July 9 for a pair of games at Wade Stadium Fields. The Blizzards first played North Shore.

The Blizzards had little difficulty with the North Shore ladies as the Blizzards had little trouble hitting the pitches from the North Shore pitcher.

Defensively, the Blizzards hit on all cylinders, letting few balls out of the infield and giving North Shore little opportunity to score. The Blizzards walked away with the victory over North Shore.

The second game of the night had the Blizzards taking on the Tigers. This game was a bit more difficult for the Blizzards as the Tigers proved to be a very talented and fast team.

The Blizzards scored against the Tigers but the Tigers seemed to answer score for score. Soon the Tigers found a way to get the upper hand on the Blizzards and seemed to be running away with the game.

Late in the game, however, the Blizzards rallied and found a way to tie the game. The game came down to one final up at bat for the Tigers where they needed to score or the game would end in a tie. The Tigers went down to their last out before they found a way to score against the Blizzards.

The Tigers hit the ball just into left field, but as the left fielder was coming in for the catch she slipped and fell and the ball rolled past her giving the Tigers the winning run.
