Bombers track team places well

Katie Siltanen takes first place in the shot with a throw of 32-5.25.

The Bombers track had a great week placing first in the girls' junior high polar league meet May 6, while the Bomber boys placed second, behind Two Harbors.

The girls walked away with 108 total points for the afternoon. The boys ended the day with 63 total points. The Bombers girls placed first in many events including: 4x200 meter relay 2:00.7, 4x100 meter relay 37.2, 400 meter dash; Makenzee Schleret with a time of 1:07.2, 200 meter dash: Sophie Richardson 28.3, discus; Lexi Bonneville with a throw of 89-5.

Second place results for the 100 meter dash: Sophie Richardson 13.7, discus; Kendal Miletich with a throw of 71-7. Long Jump: Sophie Richardson 12-10.50, and the high jump: Makenzee Schleret 4-4.

Third place 200 meter dash: Danna Weets 28.8, shot put; Kendal Miletich with a throw of 26- 7.25, and the long jump, Danna Weets with a jump of 12-5.

Esther Vogt placed fourth in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:23.1. She also placed fifth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:58.8.

The Bombers junior high boys did well as Henry Collier placed second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:33.1. Sam Goodwin placed second in the shot put with a throw of 34-11. The boys also took second in the 4x400 meter relay.

Blaze Hurst placed third in both the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.7, and also the long jump with a distance of 14-11. Nathan Moors placed third in the discus with a throw of 93-0. Dakota Litfin placed fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 27-8.

The Bomber boys placed 5th in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 2:01.2, while Xavier Carlson placed fifth in the 200 meter hurdles with a time of 36.0. He also placed sixth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 21.2.

The Bombers also headed down to Hinckley to compete. The girls Katie Siltanen took first place in the shot with a throw of 32-5.25. The Bomber girls took third in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 58.93 and the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:42. The Bomber girls took forth in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 2:02.31. Lexi Bonneville took fifth in the discus with a throw of 88-1, while Katie Siltanen took sixth in the discus with a throw of 85-0.

The Bomber boys did well also as Henry Collier placed second in the 3200 meter run, while Kyle Skelton tied for second in the triple jump with a distance of 33-5. Kyle Skelton also placed third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:22.9. Paul Vogt took fourth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 18.36, while the boys relay team took forth in the 4x800 meter relay. Parker Shelgren took fifth in the discus with a throw of 111-11. Tim Vogt took sixth in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:35. The boys relay team took sixth in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:49.31.
