Sawyer Store robbed

Suspect yet to be located, info sought


About 8 p.m. Monday, March 30, the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an aggravated robbery at the Sawyer Store on Highway 210 in Sawyer.

The store clerk indicated a male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 180-200 pounds, entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded cash. The suspect then fled the store on foot with a small amount of cash.

Officers from the Fond du Lac Police Department, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Carlton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded.

The suspect has not yet been located and the investigation continues.
