Following a second place finish, Bomber Brady Youngberg displays the team's trophy.

The Barnum Bombers headed to Public Schools Stadium in Duluth to take on the undefeated Braham Bombers for the section 7A championship.

Braham received the ball first and drove the ball 60 yards in eight plays to get on the board first, but the 2-point conversion failed. Braham was ahead 6-0. Tanner Fuglestad would field the ball for Barnum first and brought the ball out to the 46 yard line of Braham, where Barnum went to work moving the ball. Four plays later, Barnum got their first score of the night; the 2-point conversion failed.

Braham received the ball on their own 27 yard line where they began again. This time, Barnum was ready and they allowed Braham to advance to the 33 yard line where Barnum's defense forced Braham to punt the ball away.

Braham's punter pushed Barnum back to their own 36 yard line where Brandon Newman began to push the ball up the field. Cody Shelgren drove the ball with several carries to the 7 yard line, where Newman kept the ball and drove in to the end zone; the 2-point conversion by Newman was successful. Barnum was in the lead 14-6.

Braham then got the ball and tried once again to move up the field, but Barnum's defense came up strong and forced a turnover on downs. Barnum then got the ball and drove up the field, but the drive was cut short as Braham intercepted a pass by Newman, giving the ball back to Braham.

Braham got the ball out near midfield, but multiple penalties pushed Braham to third and 28 on the Braham 29 yard line. Braham passed the ball, but came up short and was forced to punt the ball away again.

Barnum again went to work moving the ball, but with a third and 6 yards to go, Newman again attempted the pass and Braham again intercepted the ball. Braham took over possession of the ball with good field position on Barnum's 26 yard line.

Braham pounded the ball down to the Barnum 6 yard line where they were knocking on the door, but Barnum was not about to open it. The Barnum defense stood their ground and Braham's drive failed.

Barnum took over the ball on their own 6 yard line, but with multiple false starts, Barnum was pushed back to their 1/2 yard line to begin their drive. Newman kept the ball and slowly began to drive the ball out of the danger zone, but the first half ended before Barnum could score again. Barnum went into half time with a 14-6 lead.

Barnum came out of half time with the ball first, but an on-side kick by Braham gave Braham the ball first. Braham then went on the offensive, but was forced to punt the ball away after only three plays.

Braham's punter drove Barnum deep back at their own 16 yard line. It was then Shelgren, Fuglestad and Zac Carlson that began to move the ball.

Barnum got out to midfield, but on a third and 4 Newman was caught in the backfield bringing up a fourth and 5 yards to go, forcing Barnum to punt the ball away. Braham took over the ball at their own 16 yard line and began to move the ball up the field with their passing game, and finally found a way to score on the Barnum defense, but the 2-point conversion failed again. Barnum's lead fell to 14-12.

Newman would field the Braham kickoff and return out to the 36 yard line. Barnum then attempted to move the ball, but Braham stopped them. With a third and 9 yards to go, Newman dropped back to pass the ball, the ball found Carlson, who ran down the field for the touchdown. The 2-point conversion failed.

With one minute left in the third quarter, Barnum was in the lead 20-12. Braham got the ball and passed it multiple times to get to midfield, where the third quarter ended.

The first play of the fourth quarter, Braham passed the ball for the touchdown, and the pass for the 2-point conversion was also completed, bringing the game to a tie at 20-20.

Barnum got the ball next, but Barnum held to nothing and was forced to punt the ball away. Braham then got the ball with good field position and moved up the field and found a way to run the ball through the Barnum defense for another touchdown. The 2-point conversion was also good, giving Braham a 28-20 lead.

Barnum got one last chance to move the ball, but after three incomplete passes, Barnum was forced to go for it with a fourth and 10 yards to go, but a rushed pass was picked off by Braham. The game ended with Braham walking away victorious, 28-20.
