Bombers golf tees off

Bomber Kelsey Timm tees off at the 9th hole at 29 Pines in Mahtowa.

The Barnum Bombers golf teams again hosted teams from Two Harbors and Wrenshall on Thursday, May 16, at 29 Pines golf course in Mahtowa.

The Bombers walked away with the victory, with the boys team being led by senior John Zmyslony with a score of 43, followed by Kaleb Montgomery with 45, Blake Bonneville with 48 and finally Sam Anderson with 49, for a team total of 185.

The lady Bombers only had Wrenshall to compete against as Two Harbors did not have a team with them. The girls were led by Kelsey Timm with a score of 42, followed by Brandi Lekander with 55, Geana Gillard with 56, and finally Morgan Donaldson with 57, for a combined total of 210.

The Bombers took medalist honors with Timm for the ladies, while Zmyslony fell one point of medalist honors for the boys to Trent Olson of Wrenshall.

Barnum hosts Pine City

The Bombers hosted Pine City on Friday, May 17 at 29 Pines in Mahtowa. This time, the boys and girls teams split, with Pine City taking the victory for the boys, and Barnum taking the girls' victory.

Greyson Lekander led the boys with 43, followed by Montgomery and Bonneville both with 44, and finally Zmyslony rounded out the top four with 46, for a combined 177.

Timm again led the ladies with a score of 45, while Brandi Lekander improved from her previous day's score by one shot to a score of 54. Gillard also improved from the previous day, only she shot 10 shots better, ending the day with a score of 46. Donaldson also shaved 10 shots off her previous day and ended with a score of 47, giving the ladies a combined 192.

Timm once again took medalist honors for the lady Bombers.
