I was finally lucky enough to qualify for my COVID-19 booster shot. This time I knew that there was a huge likelihood of me being sick in the days after the vaccine.
I wasn’t wrong about my assumption, but the timing of my reaction to the vaccine was different this time around. My third “Fauci Ouchie” was scheduled for Friday evening. I happily skipped into the pharmacy area and filled out the necessary paperwork to wait my turn.
The shot was painless and quick. Saturday was grand, my arm did hurt pretty badly. I kept reminding myself that it was far better than getting COVID-19. Overall, it was beyond tolerable.
Sunday morning I woke up and was very sick. Between extreme bouts of nausea, I kept reminding myself that this was far better than a case of COVID-19. By Monday morning I was back to feeling like myself again. One day of being sick was definitely worth getting my booster shot!
