A couple weeks into a new year, many people use this time to start new lifestyle behaviors. This is no different for myself, although in a more professional way.
As the newest member of the Moose Lake Star Gazette team, I will be taking charge of the editor position.
My name Is Michael Heaser, and I have recently moved to this city, a not-so-far-from-home move, as I was previously living in Cromwell.
I have a lot of family and friends who already live here, which made the move pretty comfortable.
The City of Moose Lake is a friendly big-small town, it seems. The people I have met so far have been welcoming and supportive, and I look forward to continuing to build relationships with others in the community.
Meeting new people and building those relationships comes with the job as an editor of a newspaper publication. Call it a perk or just a plus. Whatever it is called, I hope to get out in the community as often as I can to get to know you all. Feel free to stop in our office and say hello, as the more people I get to know, the higher quality of coverage I will be able to contribute to events and goings-on in the area.
I would like to thank the staff here at the Star Gazette and the whole Northstar Media team for welcoming me into their journalism family. I am also excited to be a part of the communities we cover and to offer what I can to contribute as a positive influence in them.
