The Barnum Bomber volleyball team completed a successful week as they added a pair of wins to their record.

First, they took on the Lions of Ogilvie in Barnum on September 19. The Bombers started the first set strong as they easily walked past the Lions 25-9.

The second set, however, had the Lions showing they would not be as easily defeated. It was a back and forth fight with the Lions coming out on top to take the second set 25-23.

The third set again had the Bombers with the upper hand as they pounded the ball against the Lions. The Lions fell 25-10 in the third set.

The fourth set showed the Lions with determination and force as they jumped to the early lead and forced the Bombers to play catch-up. The Bombers fought hard, but the beginning Lions lead proved too difficult to overcome and the Bombers fell 25-19.

This set up a fifth and final match to see who would take home the victory. In the final set, the Bombers took an early lead. This time it was the Lions fighting to find a way into the game. The Lions were not able to put together enough to overtake the Bombers and fell 15-6, giving the Bombers the victory.

The second game of the week would had the Bombers making the road trip to Two Harbors to take on the Agates. The night started off ominous for the Agates. Equipment difficulties prevented the bleachers from being available for fans to sit on during the game. The Agates found chairs, but it just wasn't the same.

The Agates played hard and put together some nice moments during the game, but the Bombers simply outscored them.

The Bombers took home the victory winning three sets over the Agates.
