Arrest warrant issued

According to the Carlton County Sheriff's Office, an arrest warrant was issued on Friday, May 26, for Scott Kendrick Lindgren of Wrenshall, born April 24, 1996, for felony threats of violence and aggravated tampering with a witness in the first degree.

Lindgren posted bond on May 23 on multiple felony charges stemming from a kidnapping and assault reported on May 15.

In the May 15 incident, a juvenile was held hostage and injured. The victim was tied to a chair, hit in the head with a .45 caliber pistol and had the word "snitch" carved on his chest with an unknown object.

Lindgren was formally charged with kidnapping, first degree assault, second degree assault, third degree assault, threats of violence, intent to terrorize and false imprisonment, all felonies. Bail was set at $250,000.

This arrest warrant is the result of an investigation into Lindgren's activities since his release on bond. This new investigation is ongoing and no further details can be released at this time.

The sheriff's office advises the public to use caution and not approach Lindgren, but call 911 and report his location to law enforcement. Tips can also be called in to the Carlton County Sheriff's Office at (218) 384-9520.

UPDATE: The Carlton County Sheriff's Office was notified that Lindgren has been arrested by the Vancouver, Washington, Police Department. Lindgren was brought to the Clark County Jail and is being held on the Carlton County Sheriff's Office warrants for felony threats of violence and aggravated tampering with a

witness in the first degree.

Arrangements will be made to bring Lindgren back to Carlton County for court, pending any future

court appearances in Washington. The Carlton County Sheriff's Office is no longer actively looking for

Lindgren.
