Student artists compete at state level

Moose Lake Community School

Madelynn Stadin with "The Curiosity of Gracie."

The artwork of Moose Lake Community School students was judged at the state level 7A Visual Arts Festival held Monday, April 3, at South Ridge High School. Madelynn Stadin's "The Curiosity of Gracie" received a superior rating and Best of Show in the category of computer based art. Camryn Zelazny's black and white photo "Reflection of Youth" received a superior rating and Best of Show in the film category. Stadin and Zelazny will also get to show their artwork at the Perpich Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley May 13 during the 2017 Minnesota State Visual Arts Exhibition. Other Moose Lake student artists competing in the 7A competition receiving superior ratings: Makayla Hoffman, LilyAnne DeZeler, Clara Kuemper and Hunter Bryant. Receiving excellent ratings: Isaac Riihiluoma, Wyatt Lampel, Jasmine Jacobson, Madison Wilson, Olivia Moffett, Maren Landmark, Jenna Marlowe, Kyle Maciej, Caleb Kimmell and William Lower.
