The NAHL Minnesota Wilderness hockey team visited with Moose Lake Community School elementary students Monday, March 20. The team members, including Moose Lake senior No. 19 Bryceton Butkiewicz, signed team pictures and other items the students requested be autographed. As an added bonus, Timber, the team mascot, was with the team to give hugs, sign autographs and pose for photos.

The Minnesota Wilderness will be taking on the Bismarck Bobcats in a home series this weekend, March 24 and 25 at the Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. both nights.

Saturday night's game will be Moose Lake Area Night. The Moose Lake Area Mite and Mite 2 teams will be skating during the first intermission. All Moose Lake Area Rebels youth and high school hockey players wearing their jerseys or Rebels hockey apparel get in free.

The Wilderness also provided Moose Lake Elementary School with free tickets for any students wanting to go to the game. Parents can pay at the door or get discounted tickets from local ticket outlets (B&B Market, Super One Liquor, The Jack or The Warming House), all located in Cloquet.

Moose Lake area fans are invited to cheer on the Wilderness as their regular season winds down before the start of playoffs.

The Wilderness remain in second place in the Central Division of the NAHL (North American Hockey League). Celebrating its 41st season in 2016-17, the NAHL, the only USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier II Junior League boasting 24 teams in 12 states from across North America, prides itself on the social maturity and skill development of student-athletes ages 16-20 with aspirations of advancing to collegiate and/or professional hockey.
