The Moose Lake City Council met Thursday, June 2, and had a short discussion regarding their choice of Tim Peterson, currently employed by the city of Proctor, as the new Moose Lake city administrator. The council voted unanimously for Peterson.

Peterson was one of three candidates interviewed by the Moose Lake City Council on May 11. The council met with Peterson to discuss points of the employment contract, came to agreement and Peterson accepted the position of city administrator.

Currently, Peterson is employed as a deputy clerk and city accountant for the city of Proctor, where he has been employed since 2013. Peterson is familiar with the accounting system used by the city of Moose Lake. The employment contract will include two weeks vacation and a three-month severance package after one year of employment.

Peterson's start date with the city of Moose Lake is July 6.
