Barnum Bomber Emily Miletich, pictured with Coach Dustin Collelo, joins the 1,000-point club, reaching the milestone during the December 29 game against the South Ridge Panthers. The Lady Bombers claimed the victory over the Panthers 62-58. Miletich was recognized for the accomplishment January 4.

The Barnum Lady Bombers were once again invited to play in the Coaches Classic Tournament in Esko. The Bombers first drew the Eveleth-Gilbert Golden Bears December 28.

From the beginning, the Bombers seemed a good match for the Golden Bears, but it was a physical battle as the fouls flew on both ends of the court. Bomber Emily Miletich tried to lead the Bombers but fouls put her on the bench, giving the Golden Bears the opportunity to grab ahold of the lead and command the court.

Bailey Wheeler, Liz Carlson and Mallory Agurkis battled with the Golden Bears but found it difficult to score. Britney Mike played a physical game but it caused her multiple fouls and she found herself on the bench.

Miletich kept the game close when she was on the floor as she managed to find a way to the basket. In the end, though, it came down to free-throws as the Golden Bears were put on the line.

The Golden Bears walked away with the 53-43 victory.

December 29 found the Bombers taking on the South Ridge Panthers. This was again a back and forth battle of will to see who would come out on top.

The Bombers played a solid game and found themselves taking the 62-58 victory. Bomber Miletich joined the 1,000-point club during this game, although her accomplishment was not recognized until the Barnum versus Proctor game January 4.

December 30 again found the Bombers battling to the wire in the consolation championship game against the Mesabi East Giants.

The Bombers came out strong as it seemed Miletich was unstoppable. Wheeler had an incredible game as she, along with Miletich, put the Bombers in the lead, while Carlson and Agurkis would lend multiple shots, allowing the Bombers to squeeze past the Giants.

Twin sisters Alina and Kaitlyn Skutevik came off the bench with some great defense and offense for the Bombers. Lexi Fuglestad took multiple opportunities to power the ball through to the basket. Britney Mike brought her high-spirited and fast-paced defense into play to cause some nice and often needed turnovers to help lead the Bombers to a 61-58 victory, giving the Bombers the consolation championship.
