Tayler Dixon, daughter of Bill and Jody Dixon, signed an academic scholarship document to study and play basketball at Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 1.
Dixon, a 2014 graduate of Moose Lake High School who graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.33 and was a four-year member of the Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels girls basketball team, has aspirations of being a point guard for the Saints, a DII program located near Columbia in central Missouri.
Dixon explained, "I played point guard for the Rebels and started sometimes as a senior. I'll be playing for Coach Leann Dahlstien. I put my information on a recruiting site called becruited.com and Coach Dahlstien, who was looking for a point guard, saw my information. She wanted someone who wanted a faith-based college. My family and I attend Moose Lake Covenant Church."
At this time, Dixon is undecided in a specific area of study as she pursues a post-secondary degree.
